POLICIES – PRIVATE HOMES

Deposits

A reservation deposit of 50% of the lodging rate is due within 10 days of your request for reservation.  Deposits are accepted by Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.

Cancellations

Where cancellation notice is received more than 60 days in advance of arrival, the deposit in full can be credited toward another reservation date within the succeeding 12 months.  Refunds requested will be made minus a $100 service fee.

If the reservation is cancelled within 60 days of arrival, the deposit is refundable, less a $100 service fee, only if the property is rented to another party for the entire time that the original reservation covered.

Check In and Check Out

Our downtown Ely office is located at 1323 E Sheridan Street.  We’re across the street from the Ely Northland Market and next door to Subway.   We observe normal business hours, 8 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week.  Should your arrival time be after normal business hours, please call ahead so we can make special arrangements to meet your party.

Check In:       after 3:00 pm                Check Out:            by 9:00 am

Payment in full, minus the deposit on account, for the home and any rental equipment reserved will be made at check-in.  Sorry .. there are no refunds for early departure.

Use of the Premises

Guest occupancy and use of the premises for recreational purposes must not disturb or offend neighbors.  Quiet time is from 11 pm to 7 am daily.  Fireworks are not permitted at any time.  Firearms may not be discharged in, on, or around the property at any time.  If a disruptive situation develops, all guests will be asked to leave the premises immediately without refund.  This policy will be enforced without exception.

Guests are responsible for any property damage, accident, injury to any person, or loss sustained by any person during use of the premises and will hold the homeowner and its agents harmless from any and all claims.  Guests will be held financially responsible for intentional or reckless damages to the premises, cleaning of the unit beyond normal wear and tear including specifically any additional cleaning necessary due to violations of pet policy and smoking policy, and the replacement and/or repair of missing or damaged items.

Smoking

All of our private homes are smoke-free environments. 

Where smoking is allowed outside the residence, all smoking materials, butts and ashes must be disposed of properly in containers provided.

Pet Policy

Pets are allowed in designated pet-friendly private homes by permission only and we reserve the right to refuse pets other than domestic cats and dogs.  Noisy, disruptive or destructive pets are prohibited and will not be allowed to stay.  Where pets are permitted, guests are expected to exercise extra care to maintain the home and property in a clean, undamaged condition.   Dogs must be leashed or under voice control when outside.  Pet wastes must be disposed of properly.  The fee for pets is $50 per pet per week or $10 per night.
